Conceived by Tadao Ando as a natural continuation of the Palazzo Grassi tour route, Punta della Dogana contemporary art centre will host the François Pinault collection.
Mr. Pinault, France’s wealthiest art collector, whose business empire includes Christie’s, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent is one of the world's largest collections of contemporary art, of some 2,500 works, of which 141 are destined for the punta della dogana's permanent collection.
With great respect for this emblematic building, all partitions that had been added during previous renovations were thoroughly removed in order to recover its original form.
