from Crinoline to Crinoline







The first Crinoline was stiff fabric made of horse-hair and cotton or linen thread. The fabric first appeared around 1830 and in the 1850s they started to make rigid skirt-shaped structures of it.
Now, designer Patricia Urquiola made beautiful furniture pieces inspired by this shapes.

I was looking thtrough some furniture for the interior of the restaurant and bar I'm designing and I found the Camper shop in Tokyo designed by Jaime Hayon. I'm gonna use his pending shiny lamps and the similar kind of sofas ;D Thx Jaime

Mahir last nite took me to beautiful Turkish restaurant, 'Dunya' (which stands for 'Worl' :D.I fell in love with the bar counter's mosaics.

If we'd copy nature we would only make things so beautiful that we wouldn't be able to take our eyes off them.
This photos are taken from a dutch magazine I love: Bloom. Bloom puts the spotlight on artists and designers wich are working within the territory of nature: plants, flowers, minerals...the whole magazine is a beautiful piece of art, of which each page shows a new magical world.
