Uk@Expo
I already wrote about British Arist I love Thomas Heatherwick. He designed the Uk pavilion and to me it was the most enriching, poetic, simple and cool pavilion of the Expo. The 20 meter high cube structure is pierced by 60,000 transparent acrylic rods. In the center of the pavilion cathedral, visitors can explore a variety of seeds of different plants placed on the end of each rod.
During the day it looks like fibre optic filaments, bringing daylight inside to illuminate the interior and at night, light sources at the interior end of each rod allow the whole structure to glow from the outside.
