Yayoi Kusama
I bumped into japanese artist Yayoi Kusama work when I was in London a few months ago, she had a great exhibition at Hayward Gallery, where Kusama's dots spread contagiously over every inch of an entire gallery before spilling out to the balcony. Even the trees on the South Bank have come out in spots. Kusama had been a pioneer of Sixties happenings, of polka-dot parades against Vietnam and she was an influence on Claes Oldenburg and Andy Warhol.
She works on feminist, minimalist, surrealist, Art Brut and pop art, all filled with obsession with repetition, pattern, and accumulation coming from a mental illness she struggled with for all her life.

Comme des Garçons launched the Luxe series...Luxe...pretty upsetting since they've always made perfumes that were affordable to everyone...but anyways this new Champaca Luxe fragrance... yes I do like it. The notes in it are champaca, white pepper, angelica, bird pepper, cardamom, tuberose, white musk and iris...Worth a try..

Vanilla & Anise
I just bought this perfume by Joe Malone, I had it on paper for a week and kept on smelling it so I decided it was time for me to get it. It smells sweet an fresh but looses its sent in the late aftenoon, it “transport you to the floral valleys of Madagascar the moment that vanilla orchids bloom at day-break”...
The notes for this Vanilla & Anise perfume are on top, Sicilian Bergamot, Tunisian Neroli, Wild Fennel Flower, Star Anise; at the middle, Oleander, Tuberose, Frangipani, Purple Vanilla Orchid and the base notes are Madagascar Clove, White Amber, Vetiver Bourbon, Vanilla Bourbon Absolute and Tonka.
