I saw Catherine Opie for the first time at Guggenheim Museum in New York in December 2008, exhibition curated by Jennifer Blessing, and I loved her Landscapes photos. Her work generally balances personal and political issues and her portraits bring to the front problems that are normally silenced by societal norms.
