Misfit in R'dam

I went to see this exhibition the day before coming back to Italy and I really loved it. The show displays the desiger work by Hella Jongerius in a very creative way, using colour palettes and contrast to lead the viewers eyes from one object to the other.
The way Hella works is very unique and what is so special about it is the way she uses craftmanship into massproduction by adding little 'misfits' and imperfection in each of her objects.
Her work I find very attractive and feminine too, but curagious and funny at the same time.
worth checkin' it out be4 february 2011 at Boijmans Museum, rottedam<<<<<

Tokyo Compression

I saw Michael Wolf series of photos at the world press photo exhibition this summer in Tokyo.
The images show trapped commuters compressed into packed carragies in their everyday hell of urban living.

John Cage the meaning of sound and music

I'm currently working on sounds and sounds in space and looking at some music masters I found some beautiful inspirations.
'There was a German philosopher, Emmanuel Kant, he said there are two things that dont have to mean anything, one is music and the other is laughter. Dont have to mean anything that is in order to give us very deep pleasure'. John Cage

DUTCHAPAN, Llove Exhibiton & Hotel in Tokyo

Something great coming to the beloved city of Tokyo, again.
Lloved is an exhibition you can go visit and a hotel where you can book a room for the night too! Located in the Shibuya-ku district, is curated by Suzanne Oxenaar (artistic director of the Lloyd Hotel in Amsterdam), and it consists of 14 guest rooms, as well as a cafe and a shop, all completely refurbished by a selection of eight Dutch and Japanese designers, including Scholten & Baijings, Pieke Bergmans, Richard Hutten and Jo Nagasaka.

White and Wood

Interior designer Lyndsay Caleo and woodworker and interior designer Fitzhugh Karol at their home in Brooklyn. Love the white pureness in contrast with the wood roughness and beautiful reference to Brancusi 'Infinity Column' in their bed design! :)))
